I have been in network marketing for about four years now, and I love everything about it! I love the Freedom, I love the income, and I love the Energy of other
Network Marketers. What an enthusiastic bunch they are!

I have also made almost every mistake there is, including joining a couple shady companies.
Live and Learn! But most people that are looking for a legitimate home based business, are afraid of all the crazy get rich schemes out there on the Internet.
You know the ones, "Join my team and make $50,000 a week" or "Let me build your downline...you just sit home and collect the checks!" Just like anything in life, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

On the other hand, if you are like millions of people and really do want to get involved in an great MLM or direct marketing business, there are many out there, and you can be successful at all most any of them with the right training. Most major companies now wanting to launch a new product know the value of network or person-to-person marketing. Even Donald Trump started his latest venture as an MLM. It is a fact that most of the best health and wellness products, travel companies,and products geared towards anti-aging are only available through these types of home based business. I personally buy as much as I can from home-based business people, they have the better product, and I would rather support a fellow Network Marketer!

And the most important thing..the product! Do you believe in it, could you see yourself promoting it to people you know. Does it fit into a niche that is exploding, like anti-aging? If you find a company that fits this criteria, and feels right to you, join it! Most companies cost very little to join and the tax breaks alone of having your own business are worth it. Chances are you will meet alot of amazing people. like I said earlier Network Marketers are a pretty amazing bunch!

OK, so now you have found a legitimate home based business, how are you going to get online and tell the world? My best advice (and where I failed so miserably at first) is DON'T go online and promote this company! OK...now some of you think I am just plain crazy!! But the best advice I can give you is to promote YOU!!! People don 't join companies, they join people, and you need to show these prospects that you have something of value to offer.

Again, this is not a place I would not recommend just winging it. You are looking for a place that will train you how to market online, as well as promote both their company and yours, giving you two streams of income. Now if you are wondering why you would promote their company, it is because you will become an affiliate of that company, and offer prospects more than one option when they visit your sites. It is called a funded proposal, and it is what is missing in most Network Marketers business plan when they decide to market online.

Imagine this, prospects come to your site looking for a legitimate home based business, a site which they can actually find on the Internet, because you have been trained to build a site that will rank in Google and other search engines. They fill out a contact form for you to call them, and they immediately become part of a well oiled machine that will promote your primary business, as well as teach them to do exactly what you are doing. That is the only way MLM businesses can ever work - DUPLICATION..your prospects need to be able to do exactly what you do.

This is not to say that you don' need to talk to people to be successful as a network marketer, but doing business this way will certainly give you alot more people to talk to! This business is a numbers game, and quite simply the more leads you have, the more people will join you, and the more successful you will be. It is not rocket science, but there is some science behind it for sure. Many people have spent most of their careers building systems to help online marketers succeed by having all the tools and training they need in one place. Been Away Awhile

So..what has been going on, that someone would forget to write in their blog for 9 months??

Well..the truth is, I didn't really forget,I was just getting tired. I was finding Network Marketing frusterating, and like so many others, I just wasn't making any money.

Hard to write an upbeat Blog about success when you aren't feeling that way yourself.

But, even though I was getting a bit down - I was by no means ready to give up. I might not have been making all that much in Network Marketing, but I knew I wasn't ready to resolve myself to going back to where I had been. I was definately not going to admit defeat and spend the rest of my natural born life working for someone else. Nope - not gonna happen!!

Then - a series of positive things happened. Two good friends from the past appeared with a great new company that I was really interested in. Partly because I knew it would be fun to work with these two ladies again, and more importantly because I knew they were good business leaders, and had done their research.

So- I jumped on board - and found it the easiest company I had ever worked with. Wow - life was looking up!

THEN - something even more amazing - an opportunity like nothing I had even seen. One that would help me market this business, and even MORE exciting generate my own leads and opt-in list. Finally - I was beginning to feel like the Successful Marketer I KNEW I always had been!!!

Now - I know you have all heard it before- everyone has that "turning point" story...where they finally see the light, turn the corner, or HOLY CRAP actually start making money!! Whatever you may call it- I know it will happen for you too!

The most important thing..remember why you got into this business in the first place and try to get back to that place again. Forget every negative thing that has happened - and every person that has said "NO"...and focus on WHY you want this to work.
